John at pickthebrain blog has some excellent perspective into the often misunderstood subject of telecommuting. As you probably have already figured out, micromanagers absolutely HATE telecommuting! Management by objective is a key ingredient for a successful telework position and John understands this.
It's amazing the misconception that folks slack when "working from home". The jealousy from co-workers without such an arrangement only hurts furthering telework. More folks need to realize the extreme productivity gains which pay dividends for both the company and the individual.
We've been advocating telecommuting for over half a year now and it's great to see other Telepeeps doing their part for the cause.
