An article over at TMCnet talks about businesses trying to help workers balance lives.
Work/Live balance is not only important for the workers but for the employers. You've got to keep your staff happy and healthy to keep driving the business. The last thing you want is burned-out staff. I hope Corporate America will continue to drive out more formal flexible work environments. It's also good to see bigger corporate companies outside of the consulting industry pushing for more telecommuting. Based on the article it states, "Best Buy announced it is rolling out a program to allow employees to work anywhere, anytime." I'm interested to see the specifics of that program. I wonder if that is going to result in even less customer service in their stores ;) (I'll save that for another day)
